What Do You Do When You Are Rich?

I don't know..maybe I'll buy a nice house, have a vacation in the Caribbean..oh..I must get married first of all, nothing grand, just a simple wedding,go to the Caribbean for my honeymoon..you can certainly do lots of things if you're rich.

If you love football, like me,you certainly know who Roman Abramovich is.He is the Russian millionaire who bought Chelsea Football Club in 2003 for 150 million pound and immediately transformed the club by investing another 500 million pound with the aim of making it the number one club by 2014.Chelsea won the league twice since that, the FA cup twice, lost in the semifinals for the last two season of Champions League, and this year make it all the way to the finals only to be denied by Manchester United.Chelsea are still looking for their first cup in Europe.

Other than spending a large sum of money on Chelsea,Roman also spend a lot of money elsewhere. It was revealed by The Art Newspaper,he was the mystery buyer who bought Francis Bacon's Triptych(1976) for US$86.3m at Sotheby's recently as well as buying Lucian Freud's Benefits Supervisor Sleeping(1995) at Christie's.His buying spree is believed to be inspired by his girlfriend,Daria "Dasha" Zhukova, who is opening a gallery in Moscow. The Centre for Contemporary Culture Moscow will open in September and it is reported Amy Winehouse is offered 1 million pound to perform at the launch.

He owns a country estate at Fyning Hill, near Rogate,West Sussex which he bought for 12 million pound in 1999.The 420 acre estates includes a seven bedroom house, two polo pitches, stables fro 100 horses,a tennis court,a rifle range,a trout lake,go-kart track,an indoor pool and jacuzzi and a plunge pool.In 2004 he was reported to have added the Chateau de la Croe on the French Riviera to his list of assets for 15 million pound. The 12 bedroom villa,on the exclusive Cap d'Antibes between Nice and Cannes was once the residence of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.Last month he bought Wildcat Ridge.a mansion near Aspen,Colorado form Leon Hirsch, former head of the medical firm US Surgical, for US$36m.It was also reported last month that he planned to build the most expensive private residence in Britain,a 150 million pound mansion in Knightsbridge.

All rich people have their own toys, and Roman is no exception,he owns a fleet of yachts, nicknamed "Abramovich's Navy".His super yacht, the 377ft Pelorus, has a staff of 40,a helicopter, helipad and a cinema, worth 100 million pound it is usually moored in Malta. His other yacht include the Sussurro and Ecstasea and in 2006 he gave Le Grand Bleu to a business associate.According to reports,he will soon add the world's largest private yacht to his fleet, the 550ft,200 million pound Eclipse, which is said to have two helipads, six guest suites, five VIP suites and a 5,000 sq ft owner's cabin,as well as an aquarium,a disco,a spa and a half indoor, half outdoor pool.He also own two submarines, the first a 118ft Seattle 1000,costing 13 million pound and 1 million pound a year to run. With two deck levels, separate living areas for guest and crew, dining rooms.the boat is capable of diving to a depth of 1,000ft and can remain submerged for two weeks. The other one is a smaller 65ft Nomad 1000 submarine which cost 3 million pound and will dock on the Eclipse. He owns a Ferrari FXX racing car which cost 1 million pound and a Boeing 767 known as The Bandit.

He spends more than 200,000 pounds on his his daughter Anna 16th birthday at the London nightclub Paper, hiring bands for entertainment and the 500 guest was treated to a flashing dance floor,a wind machine and alcohol free cocktails.

Well..these rich people certainly like to spend their money on luxury things..I just wonder,if all this rich people donate US$1m each, will there still hunger in this world,or will there still be homeless people..if you are rich, will you too spend your money on luxury things,or will you live your normal life, and use that money to help others?

Wouldn't it be nice to know what it is like to be rich! Yes, If all the "rich" people would "chip in", I'm sure it would take care of a lot of problems! Oprah alone could fix world hunger.
